DEFRA has recently launched a consultation and survey “Improvements to Equine Identification and Traceability in England”, giving equestrians the chance to have their opinions heard about changes being made to equine passport and identification laws.

If you have views or concerns about passports, how they are updated, disease control, breeding and pedigree information, traceability of equines, or equine welfare, then please take the time to fill out one of the surveys below. This is a very rare opportunity to have your say on horse passports and how we manage our horses’ information.

DEFRA’s survey should take around 30 minutes to complete. This survey closes 28th June and can be found here: DEFRA survey

The British Horse Council, which acts as a voice of the equine sector to the Government, has launched a shortened version of this survey which should take under 10 minutes to complete (survey closes 20th May). The link to the survey can be found here: British Horse Council survey
